About the Celebration
Celebrating 25 Years of Preserving African American Family History
The Lansing Area African American Genealogical Society is proud to commemorate 25 years of service, education, and preservation. Through programs, personal assistance, workshops, guest speakers, field trips, and community resources, LAAAGS continues its mission of promoting African American family history and helping individuals document their family stories.
This silver anniversary celebration will honor the organization’s legacy, recognize Founders and Past Presidents, and bring the community together for an afternoon of history, fellowship, and reflection.

LAAAGS is excited to welcome Mr. Tony Burroughs, renowned genealogist, author, lecturer, and Fellow of the Utah Genealogical Association. Mr. Burroughs returns to share his knowledge and expertise as part of this milestone celebration.
Purchase Your Anniversary Celebration Ticket
Tickets for the LAAAGS 25th Anniversary Celebration are $50 per person. Dinner will be served as part of this special silver anniversary event.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale by Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Early ticket purchases are encouraged by August 30, 2026.

A quarter page ad, dedication, or congratulatory message in the program book.

A full page ad, dedication, or congratulatory message with maximum visibility.
Silver Donor
Donations of $50 will get your name listed in the program as a Silver Donor.
Silver Donor + Ticket
Donations of $100 or more include one event ticket and Silver Donor recognition.
Full Page + Tickets
Includes a full page program book ad and two commemorative anniversary tickets.

When is the deadline for program book ads?
All program book ads, dedication messages, and artwork should be submitted by August 30, 2026 .
Where should artwork be submitted?
Program book ad copy may be emailed to seclaaags@yahoo.com .
What artwork requirements should I follow?
Artwork should be submitted electronically, preferably as a print-ready PDF, 300 dpi image, or vector file. Files should be 10 MB or less unless an upload link is requested.
Can I pay by check?
Yes. Checks should be made payable to LAAAGS and mailed to LAAAGS, P.O. Box 22203, Lansing, MI 48909.
